The Ó Síocháin Family

This is an interview with Bláithín Fitzgerald, Rónán Ó Síocháin, Aisling Gogarty, Donal Ó Síocháin and former Tipperary hurler, Jack Ryan, the children and son in law of Seán Ó Síocháin, General Secretary of the GAA from 1964 to 1979. It focusses mainly on Seán's work with the GAA as a General Secretary but also as a player, a manager and a broadcaster. They explain Sean's interest in all forms of Irish culture and the influence of his career on family life. Each interviewee also talks about their own family background and personal memories of the GAA as player and supporter.
